The rays of light from God can
Touch a man's soul surrounded in darkness.
This Heavenly light can right
The wrongs and misdeeds
That a man has endured.
This wish the plaintiff requests
That his love will truly be met,
Though the woman knows not of his love.
Thought he did to make it clear,
This idea made his love disappear.
The gentleness in this man's heart grew cold.
Time hardened his heart to a crisp cleaving mold.
