God's Garden

by Alicia Gabrielle, age15 , from New Brunswick

God looked into his garden.
There he found an empty space,
Then he looked unto this earth
and saw her tired face.
He wrapped his arms around her,
and lifted her to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful;
He only takes the best.
He new that she was suffering,
He new she was in pain,
He new that she would not get well
on this earth again.
He new the roads were gatting tough,
and the hills were hard to climb,
so he softly whispered in her heart,
"Child, peace be thine."
It hurt so much to lose her,
though she did not go alone,
because she took my heart with her,
the day God called her home.
