Toward You

You came into my life
with such force
I had to stand back
and shake my head.
You seemed so unreal
to me.
How could it be
that you were here
in front of me?
Someone so perfect
all that I have ever
looked for, wrapped up in you.

At first, I laughed at myself
and said, "Yeah right, girl! Be real!"
Yet, I couldn't leave it at that.
Oh, how I wanted to walk away
And leave before it was too late.
Only my feet wouldn't go anywhere
but toward you.

I fell to my knees
looking to the sky
asking why... why He made me choose this path.
One, I thought was ful of heartache and pain.
He held me in His arms and said,
"Dear child, follow this path
no matter what comes along
for all will be fine in the end."
I didn't believe Him then
but I obeyed, so helplessly.
I doubted Him so much
Until that fateful day
as the moon ws shining
so brightly above us.
Our slice of heaven
came down and engulfede us...
in its magic.
And I learned
why He had me on this path... toward you.

This night He shined the stars
for just us, two.
As He watched from above
He smiled and whispered to me,
"My child do you believe me now?"
And I couldn't help but
smile at you, as you looked at me.
And while you weren't watching
I stole a look skyward and said, "Thank You!"
