I Need You By My Side

Lying still hearing other air.
Starlight inside my walls
Vision to help sleep arrive
Vision defeating the cause

When no one wants to ask
Questions of truth never stem
Out of our minds we adore them
Leaving me to perform one simple task.
Sight of darkness replaced by wailing
Silence surrounds me within
So noise such cacophony
Sleepflowers wither like weeds.
