I Saw a Boy Today

I saw a boy today,
who passed and looked my way.
His eyes met mine,
they seemed gentle and kind.
He smiled as he walked,
he just looked, didn't talk.
He was the most gorgeous thing I'd ever seen,
these strange feelings, what did they mean?
How could I feel this way for a boy I didn't know,
but did he feel the same way, it seemed so.
He just stared and smiled,
and this lasted a while.
I could do nothing but smile and stare back,
I felt as though I was having a heart attack!
My heart was beating so rapidly,
and my eyes were gleaming so happily.
Then he walked out of my sight,
and my heart dropped like a fallen kite.
He was gone, disappeared,
I really hope he lives near.
For I just have to see him again,
and I'll be breathing, until then.
