Guilt

by Aussie Rosenfeld, age 12, from US

it crawls through your nerves,
up, around to you brain,
shaking and screaming in your head,

vibrating throughout your bones,
boiling up stiring and bubbling
it makes you sweat all over,

you feel closterphobic, traped in your own prison,
wobbling,unsure, uneasy
isolated

it tears at your brain
this way and that,
pulling and twisting,
and crying

you wish it weren't
and hope that if you close your eyes and count to 10,
it will be gone,
but when you do,
everythings still the same.

pounding like a heart beat,
your own heart beat,
there's no way out,
it still hauntsyou,
in your dreams,
through your life.

pounding like a heart beat,
your own heart beat,
Guilt traps you down with its chains,
screaming inside,
still scared, still alone.

Wishing you weren't
Wishing you weren't.
